Every now and then, you gotta pull a long day at work! Today started at around 9am and ended at midnight. We’ve a lot of work to do to help get a struggling product back into shape (or die trying), so priorities must shift.
This is an interesting note around sacrifice, I think. Most times, one thinks of ‘sacrifice’ as giving up plans with friends, relaxing, sleep, whatever… in this case, depending on the POV, I gave up an evening of writing for the regular job, because regular job needed my time more and regular job pays the god damn bills.
I’ll want to expand on this thought in the monthly round up… so Future Me… see this and hopefully know what Past Me was on about.
(For the sake of a non-zero day, I mean, rocking out some solid work at the thing that keeps the roof over my head is certainly non-zero… but from a pure self-pub writing perspective I made a Wattpad post! And my story entered the queue at CC and there’s a crit waiting for me to read it! May save it for tomorrow to reduce the risk of dwelling on the feedback instead of sleeping.)
POW!
