Did my first public promotion by putting some links and pictures of Hunting Midnight up on the social media (Facebook and Instagram).
The response was awesome! People are great and I’ve been basking in the glow of notifications all day. Now, the trick is to keep at it since I’m “out there,” without spamming everyone all the time about books. The dedicated social media platforms are in my near future! And crap, another month slipped by and I owe two of those roundups. The September one is kinda half baked. October, not even considered. Time: super limited in the coming week… does one use the precious hours to write? Work on the platform? Get more stuff ready for shipment (CHILDSEEKER is a hard-copy read-through away from going all paperbacky)?
Tomorrow, National Novel Writing Month (aka NaNoWriMo) kicks off, challenging the world’s writes to hit 50,000 words before December 1. If I managed that, I think it’d clear up my deficit against my 20K/month goal, which I’ve missed lately. If, in November, I can:
- Finish Hunting Midnight ep 3,
- eBook publish ep 2,
- eBook and paperback publish CHILDSEEKER,
- and start a new short for a Wattpad contest…
I’ll consider it a productive and successful month. Stretch goals: convert mostlylies.com back to WordPress, hit the NaNo goal of 50K.
