To Hamilton

Went to visit some friends in a neighbouring city. I left a little later than anticipated because I was doing something related to shipment (I think), which resulted in a fun little surprise: my roommate came home with the mail, and I had a package from Amazon.

It was the first ever paperback copy of Hunting Midnight.

It’s a funny little feeling seeing and touching the real book. I get why vanity presses were (are?) a viable business. The cover quality was AOK; some of my positioning and art choices need to be edited but otherwise I was crazy impressed with KDP print on demand system. Excited to see a bigger tome like CHILDSEEKER in a final paperback form 😀 Other than that, I edited the last major area of said Childseeker. There’s some minor gardening I must do near the end, then I have to edit the epilogue, then it too is ready. I’ll probably spend the $ to do a printout proofread of CS simply because it’s a little longer and not been through the CC wringer. Hard to determine wordcount, so I’ll estimate 500. Definitely had some new scenes in the Outpost chapter.

Oh! And I tested some ads, but will write about those in Sunday or Monday’s blag.
