My exploration into how Writers and Readers use Instagram exposed me to a lot of quote-based ‘grams. This is very much the norm among the bookish, and well received to boot! The nature of the IG platform for MostlyLies (and likely its eventual Facebook Page too) became blindingly obvious to me: quotes from the stories.
I’ve got a lot of words written, and some passages have nice poignancy even without their context. I had a lot of fun whipping up an initial design and going through some work to hunt down things that felt quotable. After some intro posts, it felt appropriate to kick off the feed with the first line from Hunting Midnight:
And so, the platform grows.
I also wrote! Only 137 words, given the crazy focus on Insta lately. Curious to see where this platform investment ends up.
