I had the privilege of taking part in a writer’s workshop today at Wattpad HQ in Toronto. They gathered about a dozen of us up, fed us pizza and picked our brains re: our writing process and individual/collective journeys as part of ongoing research into how to better serve writers.

It was very energizing to be surrounded by kindred spirits, the mind meld happened quite often and naturally as the moderators guided us through the nuances of our craft. Discovered someone who uses The Blake Snyder system, another who was big into Scrivener, and many of us did the *nodnod* when King’s On Writing inevitably cropped up (okay it was more of a ALL HAIL STEPHEN!)

Makes me keen to put more effort into finding and stabilizing into a good writer’s group–a physical, in real life one at that. Summer goal!

And, in the AM, I managed to bust out 1,573 words. A very productive day indeed.
