The idea (not necessarily the site), turned one on July 31st, 2018.

On that day, I took stock of some of my writing stats with a plan to revisit them and explore the delta one year later. I missed the mark on doing that on exactly July 31, but having now remembered, I can do some approximations, eventually.

As noted before, and as evidenced by the cadence of this blog, momentum on the site / platform has slowed. This is in alignment with my “burst” style of writing, and I am certainly ready to theorize that this pattern expands beyond simply writing for me. My current “burst” of writing related focus in on Final Girl Press, mainly in setting up the website and underpinning business software.

I am sure that will sway at some point, and my assuming is that the pendulum swings back towards MostlyLies and its various projects.

Though the blogging is slow, the daily writing has been rock solid! I’ve not written less than 1 word since January 1st. I am under target by a wide margin thanks to the burst theory–but if that pendulum indeed swings back before the year’s out the gap is more than surmountable.
